       C55 steel plate is one mainly of high carbon steel,DIN 17200 C55 steel plate is a medium carbon steel which is used when greater strength and hardness is desired than in the "as rolled"condition. Lowest appplication temp. -25 °C.

    Application  Steel C55 is suitable for higher strained parts in vehicle, engine and transmission manufacturing that require an enhanced wear resistance. Preferred application for parts undergoing a surface hardening lower risk of tearing for larger and complexer parts than C60 (e.g. transmission gear wheels, shafts, indented rollers).
