1: AISI A8 MOD steel introduction
This steel is an improved steel of A8 steel, with good hardenability, toughness, heat treatment dimensional stability. Suitable for punches and cold forging dies with hardness requirements of 55-60 HRC. In addition, it is suitable for manufacturing non-metallic materials due to good hardness, wear resistance and toughness.

Annealing
Slowly heat to 870 – 890 ℃ , then slowly Cool to 500 ℃ in heat treatment furnace. Then frosty in make public. After annealing hardness HBS: 229 Max
Quenching
Quenching temperature / ℃ | outlet air cooling, oil cooling or air cooling : 1000 - 1050
Quenching hardness : 59-62 HRC
Tempering
Tempering temperature / ℃ : 150 - 320
After tempering hardness HRC or future: 53 - 60
7: Delivery condition
For hot forged or hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged or rolled, annealed, rough turned.
For hot forged plate, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed, milled surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed, black surface.
