1: DIN 1.7147 steel introduction
1.7147 is a European standard carburized steel (surface hardening steel) with high strength toughness and good hardenability. Small quenching deformation, low temperature toughness and good machinability, but low welding performance. It is generally used after carburizing, quenching or quenching and tempering.

Application
1.7147 steel is used in the manufacture and reassembly of large section tempered parts and small section carburized parts. It can also be used to manufacture medium load, low impact small and medium parts, such as gears, shafts, main shafts, friction wheels and gears of variable speed equipment, sleeve of governor, etc.
6. Heat Treatment
Hot working temperature / ℃ ： 1150 - 850
Annealing temperature / ℃ ： 650 - 700; Hardness after annealing : 217 HBS
Quenching (center) temperature / ℃ ： 850 - 880
Quenching (surface) temperature / ℃ : 810 - 840
Tempering / ℃ : 170 - 210
7: Delivery condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
